in Sydney, Australia. We are already in production and use case, working with
some of the leading automotive manufacturers globally. Last year we closed a
$42M A round with Sequoia, Blackbird and Main Sequence Venture Partners.
We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our close-knit team. Reporting to our Software Manager you will be designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and improving VHDL and C code required specifications.

role is split into 6 key areas: Developing VHDL and C Code (50%), automated
testing (20%), resolving technical issues (20%), guide technicians and junior
engineers (5%) and presenting designs for reviews (5%).
Develop VHDL and C code, identify improvements to the existing code
Develop automated testing scripts (Python)
Develop automated testing benches (VHDL) and scripts (Python) for simulation and test
Work with systems, production, quality management and customer support teams to resolve technical issues
Guide technicians and junior engineers
Present design alternatives and experimental results to the product development teams for review and review other team members designs.
What you need:
Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Software/Electrical/Electronics engineering
Experience developing VHDL code
Experience developing C code on embedded platforms like ARM or PIC
Experience with test automation and Python
Experience using GIT or another version control tool
What we desire:
A real passion for software development
Experience using an RTOS, preferably automotive qualified
Experience with product development in a regulated environment (medical, automotive, defence and rail)
Ability to read and analyse electronic schematics
